WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

No food distribution on Friday, February 25, 2022

Due to the forecast of icy inclement weather, the Cameron Center will be closed on Friday, February 25, 2022, and therefore no food distribution will take place. Normal Food distribution will resume next week at the normal times of Wednesday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Friday 9:00 - 11:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but as always, safety is our first concern.

SNAP households who lost food due to storm power outages are eligible for replacement benefits

If you lost food you purchased with SNAP benefits due to a power outage, you are eligible for SNAP benefit replacement.

SNAP households who lost power for more than four hours and as a result had to toss food unsafe to eat can request SNAP replacement benefits for the value of the food lost that was purchased with SNAP - up to their monthly SNAP (including Emergency Allotments). The household has to report the loss to DTA within 10 days of the loss. A household can report the loss a number of ways. Call the DTA Assistance Line at 877-382-2363: Either via automated prompts (after selecting a language, press 5 and then 1) or by reaching a worker and verbally reporting the loss of food; send in a written note though DTAConnect. Be sure to select the “misfortune” verification category to flag the report for DTA. If doing this option, follow the guidance for a self-declaration; and visit a local DTA office (make sure to check if the DTA office is open).
